Recently, the second steroid hormone working conference of the Amino Acids and Steroid Hormones Professional Committee of the China Chemical Pharmaceutical Industry Association was successfully held in Tianjin. The conference, with the theme of 'Refuse inefficient internal competition, focus on high-quality development', brought together leaders of industry associations, experts from universities, and representatives of key enterprises in the steroid hormone industry chain. They conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on the path for the high-quality development of the industry.

Pan Guangcheng, the former president of the China Chemical Pharmaceutical Industry Association, delivered a speech, affirming the achievements of the industry's development and putting forward requirements for regulating market competition order, accelerating technological innovation and industrial upgrading. Wu Sheng, the chairperson of the Special Committee on Amino Acids and Steroid Hormones, delivered a keynote speech, pointing out that the current industry is facing multiple pressures and clearly stating that the steroid hormone industry must abandon the old path of internal competition within the scale and solve development problems through specialization, differentiation and innovation. 

When Zhenyao Pharmaceutical's chairman Xu Hua delivered the closing speech, he pointed out that the industry should adhere to the three major directions of technological innovation, high-quality internationalization and brand building, abandon homogenization and low-level internal competition, unite the industry's strength, and promote the steroid hormone industry to move from scale expansion to high-quality development. 

At the meeting, Professor Luo Jianmei from Tianjin University of Science and Technology delivered a special presentation titled 'Biological Catalysts and Frontiers of Green Synthesis Technology for Steroids', introducing the new directions for the green manufacturing of steroid hormones from the perspective of technological development trends. Liu Xirong, the chairman of New Fusion Biotechnology, and Xiubin Xi, the chairman of Tongguo Pharmaceutical, respectively made communication speeches on the theme of industrial development, presenting constructive suggestions for the transformation and upgrading of the steroid hormone industry from the perspectives of enterprise practice and the overall industry situation. 

During the meeting, the participating representatives conducted in-depth discussions on six major topics including opposing inefficient internal competition, integrating industrial chains, expanding international markets, promoting green intelligent manufacturing, and talent cultivation. This further consolidated the consensus on industry development. 

All the participating units reached a consensus and voted by raising their hands, adopting the industry consensus: Based on the overall development situation of the steroid hormone industry, adhere to the bottom line of compliant operation, resolutely respond to the national call for 'anti-crowding', resist malicious competitive behaviors, and consciously maintain a healthy market order; continuously strengthen the national steroid hormone industry, steadily promote the transformation and upgrading of the industry towards high-end, green, and international directions, and continuously consolidate the foundation for high-quality development of the industry. 

The convening of this meeting aims to unify industry understanding and pool development efforts, laying a solid foundation for the Chinese steroid hormone industry to break away from low-level competition and achieve high-quality development.
